Surveys and Asbestos Consultancy
 Asbestos surveys are individually tailored to suit the Lenval client.
They are designed to locate, inspect and determine the type of asbestos.
Each survey will include risk assessments and considers relevant, credible
risk management strategies.
In accordance with MDHS 100 Lenval can carry out all three types of
asbestos survey:
Type 1
Location and assessment survey (presumptive survey).
We generally do not recommend this course of action, as it simply
delays the inevitable need for a type 2 or 3 survey and is often an
unnecessary expense.
Type 2
Standard sampling, identification and assessment survey
(sampling survey). This is by far the most frequently used type
of survey.
Type 3
Full access sampling and identification survey (pre-demolition/major
refurbishment survey).
Asbestos survey reports are produced and presented to the client detailing
relevant information in an easily understood, upgradeable format to facilitate
future management of the risk.
All asbestos surveying and sampling is carried out to Health & Safety
Executive { Methods for Determination of Hazardous Substances No. 100
} guidelines.
The survey produces the Material Algorithm and therefore the Material
Risk Assessment.
